Facilities include indoor cycling and aerobics studios, a large ladies only section, fully equipped cardio, free weight and also functional training areas, changing rooms and showers. I’m not your average Jo! I have fought hard to achieve my dream job of helping others, because helping other people to achieve their own goals and dreams is something, I am passionate about. I firmly believe that being fit and healthy is about the mind as well as the body. After recently becoming a mum, I understand the tough mental and physical journey for new mums who are wanting to get back into shape and rediscover themselves.

My background is that I have taught indoor cycling classes for around 6 years and trained in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I really enjoy things that challenge me, so you can expect me to push you, to try and challenge yourself and break down those mental barriers that stop you from doing so.
Cherry Bomb Personal Training provides personalised exercise programs based on your goals, nutritional support, regular reviews of your progress and constant availability for support and questions via WhatsApp and Instagram, outside of sessions.

Even if we do not have personal training sessions together, always feel free to approach me in the gym or in a class, if you have any questions or want any advice, or even if you just want to have a chat in general.

Hi There! Let me introduce myself...my names Cheryl Askew, however...you can call me chez if you’d prefer!
Some of you may already know me, and if not... have probably seen me around the gym, for those that don’t,
feel free to say Hi anytime...I’m very approachable and won’t bite... I promise.
The fact that you’re reading this tells me that you’ve been mulling over the idea of training with a personal
trainer for some time now and are taking steps towards researching this! Either that or you’re just nosey lol.
Anyway...approaching a personal trainer can seem quite daunting at first, I know...I’ve been there.
Let me firstly tell you, that by speaking with me, in no way shape or form should or would I expect you to feel obliged to train with me.
What is it that can I do for you you’re asking?
Firstly...everyone has different goals and it’s my job to listen to them, then by taking scientific knowledge, nutrition and experience, help you reach them in a safe and effective way, and not just how YouTube or your mate told you.
I’m not in any way new to personal training and have a background in working in studios and other gyms, so can assure you; I know what I’m doing and what it takes for you to reach your goals.
You can’t really see from this awful thumb nail picture of me but underneath this oversized polo shirt is a physique I’m extremely proud of and have worked my butt off, literally...to achieve.
I never thought I would ever find myself in the free weight section of a gym. Firstly, it scared me! and secondly, I didn’t really know what I was doing and found it boring! Sound familiar? I mean... how could anyone spend hours in the gym lifting weights.
From what I could see people had been going for years but never seemed to make any real difference to their health or physique, so what was the point?
The truth is that these people had no direction and, in most cases, would just follow the rat race. I mean...surely, if they trained every day, they were sure to see results hey??
The answer is no!
Nutrition plays a major part, not only with your physique but how you feel and how your body functions on the inside too.

I can be by your side in the gym, and can also give you the support and motivation you need to reach your fitness goals. My speciality is fat burning and strength building so boxing in particular is a huge passion of mine. As well as being a gym instructor and level 3 personal trainer, I am also a fully qualified boxing coach.
