#SimplyLikeMe – Linda – Kettering

In our next #SimplyLikeMe campaign, Linda shows us that age is just a number and how coming back from surgery and joining Simply Gym Kettering improved her flexibility and lifestyle.

Read more of her story below and how she has become more flexible and overall better health post surgery:

I suffered for a number of years with a bad back, pain in my right hip and right knee. This was due to falling off a push bike a number of years ago. I would try to remain mobile by doing yoga and walking. This gradually got more difficult. September 2017 I had total knee replacement surgery on my right knee.

A year later, after a lot of physiotherapy, walking and painful rehabilitation I joined Simply Gym as I wanted to start doing yoga again. Since then, my flexibility, strength and overall health continues to improve. I try to attend two yoga and one Pilates class a week.

At the moment I can still walk and can walk further and faster. I enter the Race for Life every year in memory of my husband and am planning to complete it faster each time.

Lin is also soon to be turning 70! Showing us that there is no barrier in joining the gym!
