With the colder weather setting in, you are likely looking for nutritious and delicious winter meal prep options to help you get on with your day in the smoothest way possible. In an ideal world, every morning your lunch will be magically made and waiting for you in the kitchen so you can take it to work and enjoy. But, in winter, nobody really wants to stand around cooking in the evening for a week’s worth of food in the cold winter months.

Sesame Chicken:
For those of you who are feeling a bit safe with your winter meal prep option, try out this sesame chicken and rice with a side of broccoli and asparagus. Only taking 30 minutes out of your evening and it is ready to go. These lunch bowls are basically just a stir fry divided into containers for the week. Above all, it is so quick to make! You just need to cook your rice, mix up your sauce, cook the veggies and then the chicken and finally toss them all up.

Taco Bowls:
You don’t have to go full on winter with your food just because it is colder, why not have a taste of the Mexican sun with an easy Taco Bowl. This Mexican bowl of deliciousness combines all of the best ingredients and makes a delicious meal prep bowl. The best thing is that it can be made in 3 easy steps:
- Cook the rice in a large saucepan of water
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over a medium-high heat, add ground beef and cook until the beef has browned. As it cooks stir in the taco seasoning too so you can have the flavours of Mexico
- Divide the rice in separate containers with the ground beef mixture and top with black beans, corn, tomatoes, nachos or whatever you desire.

Jar Salad:
During the winter months, lunchtime at work can be very annoying sometimes with your colleagues all wanting something different to eat. You may just want to have a salad but you may think that is quite boring. However, it doesn’t have to be that way, you can make your salad adventurous and take your meal prep to the next level with jar salads. All you need is 5 clean jars with lids and enough space in your refrigerator. Start by filling a dressing into a jar and then layer your various ingredients on top from greens to veggies and even rice and cheese you can have a winter party in a jar.
