Prevent people carrying infection coming to the gym

If you, or someone you share a household with are showing any symptoms of CV-19, DO NOT COME TO THE GYM.

If you have been contacted by track and trace and have been near someone who has tested positive then please follow government guidelines and stay at home. Simply Gym staff have the right to remove anyone from the facility who shows symptoms or is obviously unwell. If you fail to follow the social distancing guidelines or the policies Simply Gym has put in place then we will ask you to leave with membership suspensions taking place if there are repeated breaches of the rules.

Please remember, these are exceptional circumstances and we are doing everything possible to safely re-open and provide a safe and clean facility for our members. If you see something you are not happy with please raise your concerns to a member of staff straight away or email: customerservice@simplygym.co.uk.  Please do not take photos, post on social media, or report to environmental health as this may cause damage to the business and stifle your ability to train.

Limiting the density of the number of people in the gym

We are limiting our capacity at our sites to allow effective social distancing. We are in the process of adding a feature to our website so you can track the number of people in your local Simply Gym. Although hitting capacity is unlikely, you may need to queue for a short time. We will introduce a booking system if necessary to prevent the need for queuing. Gyms may add further measures. Please see you local gyms for more details.

Try to avoid peak hours where possible (4pm-8pm weekdays)

Please keep your workouts under 1 hour.

If you wish to attend a class then you will need to book a slot. Please use our Membr App to do so. Classes will be 45 minutes max to allow time to clean down equipment effectively and to avoid crossover of members between classes. Classes in the same room will have 10 minute spacing between each class (guidance by ukactive) to thoroughly clean the room and ensure no cross over.

Stop transmission of the virus through the air

Whilst in the gym we ask that you stay at least 1 metre from other members. One way systems will be implemented where necessary to reduce member crossover.

Some of our equipment may be out of use to maintain safe distancing. The kit will be rotated regularly to allow deep cleaning.

Screens will be placed on reception desks to protect our staff.

Air handling/ extraction in gyms and studios will be improved
